Members of the National and many other great musician friends of mine played in an amazing show as Bob Weir’s band for performance benefitting HeadCount.org. Rehearsal was conducted in our studio and so was this interview with Bryan and Scott. Check out the footage!

Saltlands Studio, where I frequently record, has just acquired an EMT 140 plate reverb! This is amazing! And for those of you who are curious, we actually tracked down an entire plate minus the electronics, and managed to find the electrical driver system on sale in a land far far away. Plate reverb is a very welcome addition, as every person involved with Saltlands is delighted by real analog reverb sounds such as springs, plates, chambers, etc. Cant wait till it’s wired up!

A few friends and I have completed our endeavor to beautifully equip a small two room recording studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The studio is called Homeward Sound, which held it’s first session with Josh Ritter as we recorded his latest record. We are delighted with the outcome of all tracking that has taken place in the space, and it’s proving itself to be even better than we expected in terms of sound quality and versatility. Cheers to the four of us, and here’s to many great recordings.
